SALARY: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Teach basic through intermediate skills in math, reading and writing, similar to what is taught in the grades 4 ? 10. Specifically teach basic math through beginning algebra and geometry; teach basic writing skills through simple essays; and teach skills for improved reading techniques including word attack, comprehension, fact and opinion, inference, vocabulary, etc.
Classes run from 6 to 10 weeks, depending on location, 2 or 3 nights a week. Classes are held at various locations throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Most classes are held in the evening. Morning openings sometimes available.
Fourth through twelfth grade teachers are welcome to apply.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited College or University.
Experience teaching basic math, reading and writing or
GED preparation.
