Industrial Hygienists identify, evaluate and recommend controls for health hazards in the workplace and conduct inspections, investigations, surveys, and research involving chemistry, physics, engineering, epidemiology, infection control and/or occupational health.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training. Incumbent may be required to use personal vehicle to conduct State business. Working shifts other than 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. may be required, including weekends.

To Qualify
Education and Experience
1)One year of experience as an Industrial Hygienist II in Nevada State service (may be restricted to option identified); OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
1)A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment.
