The position determines whether disabled adults meet the level of care to be eligible for services under the Home and Community Based Services Waiver. The program provides personal and in home supportive services to allow the recipient to remain in a community setting, avoiding placement in a nursing facility or other institutional setting. Case management services are provided for these recipients who are determined to be eligible for the HCBS waiver. When persons can remain in their own home, it provides a cost savings for the Medicaid program. The incumbent will also review personal care service agencies to ensure they are in compliance with Medicaid regulations when providing services to recipients. For purposes of cross training, limited Facility Outreach and Community Integration Services (FOCIS) will also be part of the incumbent's duties. Spanish speaking desirable
