1)Licensure by the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners or certification by the Nevada State Board of Osteopathic Medicine as a Physician Assistant; OR certification of recognition as an Advanced Practitioner of Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner issued by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.  &#x0D;

Special Requirements &#x0D;
 &#x0D;
1)Current certification of registration or license to prescribe from the Nevada Board of Pharmacy is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. &#x0D;
 &#x0D;
2)Licensure to prescribe controlled substances from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. &#x0D;
 &#x0D;
3)Certification or licensure to dispense controlled substances, poisons, dangerous drugs and devices from the Nevada State Board of Nursing and Nevada Board of Pharmacy is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. &#x0D;
 &#x0D;
4)Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. &#x0D;
 &#x0D;
5)A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. &#x0D;
 &#x0D;
6)Certification in Basic Life Support is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment. &#x0D;
 &#x0D;
7)A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items.  &#x0D;
 &#x0D;
8)Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, positions in this series have been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this series must submit to a pre-employment screening for controlled substances.  &#x0D;
 &#x0D;
